Dislocation was made for Flock a culture for peace, a net based project 'curated' by Linda Carroli. Twelve  artists participated in the project by contributing a work which addressed the 'culture of peace' - personal or political, global or local ... this work is appropriate for the peace theme - after all, one of the UNESCO pledges for a culture of peace is about  respect and dignity for all.
Dislocation was made in response to my work with people experiencing disabilities and my own experiences in trying to access the built, social and political environments. Sometimes trying to communicate the sense of dislocation that you feel when you attempt to negotiate 'space' made for 'the able' becomes overpowering and words fail.
