Raft
installation 1995.
The work was
modeled in 3d studio, as a Marquette for an installation,
a response
to the site on which the Noosa Regional Gallery is built and the way
in which the social development of the area has proceeded.
The Raft is
to be made from hollow veneer sections that mimic the construction
frame parts of a house, rafters, studs, floorboards and construction
boardwalks.
These float
within the space, randomly, invisibly linked, almost touching never
quiet connecting as one might expect. That is a gap between boardwalks
and rafts a little to far to bridge.
A video of
the Noosa River shot at water level over 24hrs is running projected
into the space. |
